LPG Supplies in Bangalore won’t stop immediately

Scan the documents online, get them corrected quickly to avoid LPG disconnection

Secretary to Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Department B A Harish Gowda on Wednesday maintained that the department had never told LPG agencies to immediately stop supply of gas cylinders to consumers whose connections have been identified as
suspended.

Speaking to Deccan Herald, Gowda said: “We are practical in this matter. We never told them (distributors) to stop supplying gas to consumers. Chances are that they will take orders and deliver if you order now. It will be a problem for the next supply if the details have not been sorted out by then. But if they are corrected now, then these suspensions will be deleted by then.”

What people need to do

Gowda said that consumers whose connections have been suspended due to errors in entering the details have two options.

One - to submit the scanned documents on the website: www.ahara.kar.nic.in
These documents will be checked on the same day of submission at the Deputy Director’s office.

The other option is to go to the nearest Deputy Director’s office in Bangalore urban and the tashsildar’s office in Bangalore rural and get the documents updated correctly.

“Some of the entries contain mistakes like wrong RR number. Mistakes like these will be rectified immediately in a matter of minutes from Thursday. I suggest people to use this option and get the problems corrected,” Gowda urged.

What not to do

People who have to get the entries corrected, have been asked not to go to their distributor.

“They (distributors) cannot do anything. All the entries are modified in our office and sent to them daily. They merely upload the information we send. There is no use of going to them to correct the problem,” Harish Gowda said.

Consumers found having multiple connections will be given an option of keeping the connection they choose. “Our inspectors will go with a list of connections to one household.  They can choose whichever they want to retain,“ Gowda added.

How You Should Start Every Day For The Rest Of Your Life!

I’m a great believer of how you start your day will shape the rest of your day.

Start you day well…on a good positive, healthy note..and chances are…you will have a great day. You will feel strong, fit and all ready to take on the world. Well…the morning routine obviously does a world of a good. I got the gist down here, as well as his rationale for the routine. I try to keep at it as much as I can on a daily basis.

Here’s the way he advocates on how to start your day.
1. Set your alarm clock to go off 10 minutes earlier than usual.
2. The first thing, after you get up, is to immediately remake your bed.
3. Go to the kitchen, pour yourself a glass of water and drink it all.
4. Go to the bathroom, take care of "business," brush your teeth, wash the sleep out of your face and eyes and brush and comb your hair.
5. Next, put on some exercise clothes like sweatpants, a sweatshirt and sneakers.
6. Leave the house immediately and take a 20-minute walk.
7. As soon as you get back, woof down a nutritionally-dense protein drink with eight ounces of fat-free milk and a banana.
8. Scarf down a packet of vitamins and minerals like “Revital"
9. Take a shower.
10. Dress in fresh, crisp clothes and go about your day.

Pretty simple stuff, isn’t it? But, I’ll tell you this: If you will do this every day in 2011, it will create a more positive change in your life than anything else you can do. This regiment, although simple on the surface, has profound and somewhat complex and far-reaching psychological ramifications.

May I explain?

Thank you.

1. Set your alarm to go off 10 minutes earlier than usual. By getting a 10-minute earlier start, you tend to remove the "urgency" many of us experience as soon as we wake up. You’ll feel less harried, less hurried and a bit more peaceful.

2. The first thing, after you get up, is to immediately remake your bed. If you don’t do this, you will be starting your day… instantly… creating an "undone chore" which will nag at the back of your mind for the rest of the day. If you do this, you will start the day without having added a single, niggling little thing to your "to do" list.

3. Go to the kitchen, pour yourself a glass of water and drink it all. You do NOT drink enough water. Nobody in America does. Water is the elixir of elixirs. It flushes toxins out of your body, provides an environment which lets your electrolytes and all other aspects of your biochemistry function at maximum efficiency.

4. Go to the bathroom, take care of "business," brush your teeth, wash the sleep out of your face and eyes and brush and comb your hair. You’re getting ready for battle: The battle to have a good day. Doing all the above will wake you up a little, freshen you up a bit and "set-you-up" to get going.

5. Next, put on some exercise clothes like sweatpants, a sweatshirt and sneakers. Make this a ritual. You are dressing for battle: An assault on the forces of negativism.

6. Leave the house immediately and take a 20-minute walk. You’re outside, you’re breathing fresh air, you’re getting your circulation going, you’re becoming more mentally alert. Some of the fog begins to lift from your mind. You begin to notice your environment, see the colors of the fall foliage, the bloom of a spring flower, the dew on the grass on a summer morning, the untrodden snow in mid-winter. NOTE: This is NOT exercise. This is a loosening up; a "defogging" of your mind and allowing your body to gently warm up for its daily tasks.

7. As soon as you get back, woof down a nutritionally-dense protein drink made with eight ounces of fat-free milk and a banana. This will infuse your body with nearly all the vitamins, minerals, electrolytes, and other good stuff to help your body and mind function at peak throughout the day.

8. Scarf down a packet of vitamins and minerals like “Revital” More insurance you’re getting the minimum (at least) ingredients your body needs to run efficiently.

9. Take a shower. Part of the ritual of getting ready to battle the day.

10. Dress in fresh, crisp clothes and go about your day. Ritual completed. You’re loosened up, oxygenated, clean, crisp, nourished, starting your day with no added baggage.

Is Your LPG gas connection is illegal? Check Now Here....

With the Karnataka government's announcement of a possibility of suspension of more than 9.1 lakh illegal LPG cooking gas connections, consumers are in dilemma to know the status of their connection.

Consumers are advised to check the status of their LPG connection as the civil supplies and consumers affairs had issued notification to suspend illegal connections. If your LPG connection is legal, you have to submit the documents within 15 days, otherwise the LPG connection will be suspended.

Recently, the government officials told that around 9.1 lakh of the 22,45,959 cooking gas connections in Bangalore city are illegal and government had recommended the oil PSUs to suspend 9,10,937 connections in the city for failing to produce documents like ration cards and electricity meter numbers or producing faulty documents.

Consumers can check the status of their connection on the website of the department of food and civil supplies(http://web1.kar.nic.in/fcslpg4/Main.aspx), three state-owned petroleum companies, and all local gas distribution outlets. Click here to check status.

"We have suspended those consumers who have not turned up with their documents or have not provided the RR numbers or there is a mismatch of RR number and LPG consumer number and LPG consumers with commercial RR numbers. But we are open to them if they furnish the correct documents … or apply directly at taluk offices," said Karandlaje, state Minister for food, civil supplies and consumer affairs.

Have You Insured Your Home loan?

You have chosen your dream home, got the loan sanctioned and in a matter of months, you have now shifted to your new home, started paying your EMI, and start indulging in the making your living space as comfortable as possible etc.
Have we ever thought what if the loan borrower is not able to pay the home loan because of accident or some other reason?
Will his or her family have to move out of the house?
What will happen if the borrower is the only earning member of the family? These are important questions but we seldom think about it.Essentially, is there any way to ensure our home is ours despite these emergencies we may have to face in future?

Home loan insurance
Home loan insurance covers the loan liability of the borrower.
If the borrower, because of accident or death, is not able to pay back the home loan, the insurance companies will pay the loan.
Some insurance companies may pay just the outstanding while some pay the full loan.
This means that your family will not have to move out of the home.
This is very important for families where the only source of income is job. Home loan insurance doesn't cost much and hence this is advisable to take home loan insurance.

Home loan and loan insurance

Banks usually suggest borrowers to take home loan insurance but this is not mandatory.
There are cases banks have packaged the home loan insurance with loan and offered as bundle.
However, irrespective of whether this is mandatory, you should take home loan insurance to protect your family from unnecessary financial and psychological distress in any eventuality.
Borrowers may not opt for the home loan insurance and can still get the loan financed.
Some of the banks also give time to borrowers to apply for home loan insurance within the specified period. This means, you can take decision after due diligence.
The advantage of home insurance loan is that the payment of loan is done between the bank and the insurance company without your family running after insurance companies to pay to the bank.
Offers from different institutions

Important points to keep in mind when taking home loan insurance
·         If the borrower has decided to take the home loan insurance, he or she should keep the following points in mind.
·         The borrower should understand the coverage amount.
·         The insurance may cover only the outstanding or the full loan amount.
·         The borrower should know that in any case, the premium will be directly proportional to the size of coverage.
·         The home loan lenders have collaboration with insurers to offer both as a package.
·         The insured premium is added in the total loan and the borrower can pay loan and premium in EMI form.
·         Do research into the premium paid to several insurers for home loan insurance. It is advisable to pay for the insurance upfront than attach it to EMI.
·         The borrower should look at the tenure of coverage. Longer tenure is always preferable.
·         Finally, the borrower should also find out if the insurance benefit covers death, disability, or general loss of income because of any reason. Most insurers cover death.
